Amaranta Hank
Amaranta Hank: book fairs and cultural conversations
Her cultural work includes organising literary activities and speaking about books and professional experience at public events.
The Fiesta del Libro de Cúcuta
Omaña’s institutional biography names her work coordinating the Fiesta del Libro de Cúcuta. She also discussed that experience in her 2018 interview with Alberto Gayo.
The role belongs to her career in regional cultural work, alongside editing and local media. Her connection with books included organising a gathering for writers and readers as well as writing her own work.
A Bogotá discussion in 2023
Idartes announced a conversation with Argentine writer and activist Georgina Orellano during AEFEST in Bogotá. Hank’s accompanying interview discussed education, rights and the stigma associated with sex work.
The institution’s report after the festival confirms that Orellano and Hank discussed rights and destigmatisation. That report records the completed conversation, following the advance programme.
Temporada de Letras in 2024
The published programme scheduled a discussion of Desnuda with Carol Ramírez on September 25 at 19:00 in the Auditorio Vorágine. The literary fair’s activities took place at the Casa Museo Taminango in Pasto.
It also listed Hank’s creative-writing workshop, Relatar lo vivido, for September 26 at 10:00 in the Sala Taller Árbol de Caucho. The programme required advance registration for the workshop.
